It was, back then, a commercial imperative because it was the only way we could obtain the best prices for our processed fractions. Over the years, pursuing quality in everything we do became second nature so it made absolute sense to be seek certification under the premier standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the world: ISO 9001.
Not only does it support our drive for quality, but it allows us to formalise and improve that quality as the world changes around us. ISO 9001 certification provides the basis for effective processes and effective people to deliver an effective product or service time after time.
Indeed, it presents a framework and set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of an organisation so as to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders. In a word: Quality.
